Fall into You - A mid-week retreat for the Autumn Equinox

My dear friend, composer and sound artist Joseph Yanaku and I invite you to celebrate the Autumn Equinox with us in the lap of luxury in Cornwall.

This midweek gathering of like minded souls unfolds on the stunning Tresilian Estate in North Cornwall. This 4 day gathering offers complete respite from the demands of daily life, inviting you to reconnect with all that you are and remember the joy and power that is present when we come together.

Tracey and Joseph share a deep love of animistic philosophy and the ancient ways of our ancestors. Together they weave together the movement practices of yoga and Pilates, the deep rest of restorative yoga, transformational sound journeys and earth based shamanic wisdom, rituals & ceremony. During our time together, we’ll explore ourselves as the nature elements in order to deepen our connection to ourselves, each other and the living world.

This is an intimate gathering for 14 guests in a vast setting to give everyone the space to expand their energetic field and spread their wings. Rooted and strong we are ready to rise and welcome the Autumn equinox and all the new possibilities that await us we unfold into the next cycle of the year.

Nourishment

Our wonderful chef & house host Jonny will cook up delicious, seasonal healthy fare from the Victorian walled garden and locally producers (where possible). Your cells, souls and senses will be deeply nourished.

The Venue

Set in 22 acres of stunning gardens, Tresillian Estate is an 8 bedroom Georgian Manor house and 6 bedroom barn located near some of North Cornwall’s best beaches. The venue can accommodate 30 people but in order to give everyone their own space there will be a cap of 16 guests on the retreat. Most of the rooms will be allocated as single occupancy with 2 ensuite twins and 2 family rooms suitable for friends who are coming together. The houses and studio are all stunning and spacious allowing everyone plenty of expand , breathe and spread their wings.

The Land and local area

Located near Newquay and some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, the estate is situated in 22 acres of stunning grounds housing a lake, tennis courts and a Victorian walled garden growing fruit and vegetables for the house. Watergate bay and the beautiful beaches of Crantock and Watergate bay are all only 6 miles away with temperatures, all perfect for a cleansing dip in the sea.

Yoga & Pilates

Tracey is an intuitive, warm and supportive teacher who thrives on helping people realise their potential on and off the mat. Morning sessions will be dynamic and nourishing with strong alignment principles, focusing on building core strength from deep within. Classes can be challenging but are always held with love and humour.
All classes usually incorporate elements of energetic healing, sound and scent.

Sound & Rest

The afternoon sessions are therapeutic in nature with a combination of deep rest (supported by Shanti Sundays props)and Joseph’s ethereal sound baths.

Joseph is a creative artist in every sense. A gifted singer and composer with an interest in shamanism and animistic philosophy, Joseph also trained at the British Academy of Sound Therapy. He uses percussion, bowls, gong and his incredible voice to take each individual on a unique experience, rich in texture and story.

Therapeutic sound, used in this way is proven to gently alter the brainwaves, invoking a meditative or dream like state. It also works to slow down the heart rate, guiding participants out of the fight or flight response and into a state of rest and digest associated with the sympathetic nervous system.

When combined with the supported practice of restorative yoga, you can expect to access a vastness within and states of relaxation beyond your wildest dreams.

Shamanism

Tracey practices Andean Mysticism and shamanism rooted in the traditions of Peru and the South. In connecting more recently with her Celtic ancestry she has found the crossover in all these traditions. They are all rooted in animism which holds a deep reverence for the Earth and recognises that everything is alive and filled with living energy. She incorporates these teachings throughout the weekend with beautiful rituals for ourselves and the Earth and a celebratory closing fire ceremony.

Fire ceremonies are powerful healing rituals celebrated in Indigenous cultures across the world. Using sticks (one for letting go and one for calling in), we will release all that no longer serves us to the fire before calling in what we want to manifest for this next cycle of life, for ourselves and the world.

The Autumn Equinox

The Autumn Equinox or Mabon as it is known in Celtic traditions, is when we celebrate the equilibrium of day and night, the balance of masculine and feminine energies within and without. The theme around of the Autumn Equinox is one of gratitude and sharing as we offer thanks to the Earth ,and the life forces that sustain us and celebrate the second harvest of the year.

The approach to eh Equinox offers us a welcome pause after the headiness of Summer to reflect on what flourished for us this year and what didn’t. In doing so we can gently let go of what no longer serves our journey and continue to nurture what does as we move into this last quarter of the year.

This is a beautiful and potent time of year to gather in gratitude for the Earth and her harvest and share songs of hope and peace around the fire.
